* A Bard - most NOBLE

Halt, oh ye faithless, behold, I implore,
the wonder and splendor of Rudy Galore,
who stood up to thunder, to werewolves and dragons;
clever, resourceful - he dealt with the lot:
for *Man Of The World* ~ 'twas but a front;

- in wagon he smuggled kilos of pot.

Sat, in the pub, durin' hot soggy day -
at eve swiftly dealin', collectin' the pay:
some folks he knew proper - and properly well,
the rest he won over in markets, in squares
telling his stories, ringing his knell;

- to young painted Heaven, yet elders knew Hell ...

''Come, ye of open heart, near to my cart!''
Verse he boomed out, pulled curtains apart:
''Of strange lands I'll sing, of Queens equal to Kings,
tales many-a-more Pegasus shall bring -
with use of the magic herb here on this shelf

- you too can be there - and see for thyself!''

Thus, Rudy has cried - till he burst a lung,
mist the accursed fueled mind so well versed;
puerile Master Marlowe lend him his ear
as Master Shakespeare has struggled to hear
every word sung in literate tongue -

- on edge of their seats were everyone strung.

The dray was now light and the stocks were all sold,
bold stories have ended, all myths have been told.
Chiming and praising great muses of olde
witty man Rudy walked out on the fold -
rightly he smiled, pleased as can be:

- ripe night has thrown him sheer mountains of gold!
